1) Can you clarify the type and range of IoT sensors and smart cameras to be deployed? Are these off-the-shelf or custom devices?

We usually deploy a mix of reliable, off-the-shelf IoT sensors and smart cameras, selected for their accuracy and privacy compliance. Devices are chosen based on project needs and are integrated using our proven technical procedures. Customization is focused on software and data integration, not on the hardware itself. This approach ensures robust, scalable, and secure data collection for urban mobility analysis.

2) The Municipality of Rethymno already operates cameras and equipment that monitor road users. How will your proposed system reliably detect pedestrians and cyclists located outside of roadway areas, such as sidewalks, parks, or pedestrian-only zones?

Our system is designed to complement existing roadway monitoring by reliably detecting pedestrians and cyclists in areas beyond the road network, such as sidewalks, parks, and pedestrian-only zones. We achieve this by strategically deploying specialized sensors and smart cameras—such as thermal imaging, radar, and AI-powered counters—directly in these off-road environments. These technologies are proven to accurately count and classify non-motorized users in diverse urban settings, ensuring comprehensive modal split analysis across all relevant public spaces

3) In what format will your deliverables be provided, and who will be the intended recipients? Ideally, the Municipality of Rethymno would need access to the full dataset, and it would be beneficial if some of the insights or visualisations could also be made publicly accessible. How do you plan to support both internal use and public transparency in your solution?

Our deliverables will be provided in two main formats to meet both internal and public needs:
For the Municipality:
The full, anonymized dataset will be delivered in standard, open formats (such as CSV, JSON, or via secure API), ensuring easy integration with municipal systems and supporting in-depth analysis by your technical teams.
For Public Transparency:
We will offer interactive dashboards and summary visualizations that present key insights—such as pedestrian and cyclist flows—without exposing sensitive data. These visualizations can be published on the municipality’s website or public portals to foster transparency and community engagement.
