Sea Footprint - Beyond CO2 emissions
Summary
Apply the Sea Footprint, a unique and innovative tool, calculator to the proposed events to evaluate and reduce environmental impacts.
Foreseen impact
Expected impacts:
- compared to other solutions, the Sea Footprint is capable of analyzing impacts generated by the events on a broader set of variables (biodiversity, pollution, CO2 emissions, acidification of water, resource consumption and impacts on structural changes).
- identifying all impacts is the first step to building a reduction strategy towards carbon neutrality and impact reduction that will be traced on the digital tool that will allow comparison with future events and scenario-building activities;
- all impacts will be measured following the most recognized international standards (such as ESRS, GRI, Ocean Impact Navigator, SDGs);
- for each event, an impact report to be included in the company sustainability report will be released;
- the Sea Footprint is part of a broader platform that StC is building (Ocean Impact Platform) which will contain a marketplace with projects and products that will support the company reduce and/or compensating for its negative impacts;
- StC is capable of including in the proposal any type of communication content (reel, video, social campaign, banner) that the company may be interested in.

Indicative budget/Phases
At this moment the methodology is ready and we are testing it with internal client datasets. Before the end of 2025, we will launch the whole platform including the first version of the Sea Footprint.
We are searching for new companies with whom to test our methodology and adapt to real use cases, in exchange we offer a lifetime discount on the use of the platform.
Being in a testing phase, costs may vary, for this reason, we will indicate ranges:
- testing phase of the methodology with real data from the case studio 1000€ - 2000 € (according to the amount of available data)
- definition of a reduction plan and best practices to reduce the Sea Footprint 1500 - 2200€ (according to the amount of available data)
- adoption of the digital tool and expert support to use it - 1000€ - 1200€
- impact reports - 500€ each
- communication contents, to be discussed
- 20% offer on lifetime adoption of the digital tool
- travelling, to be discussed according to needs
- overheads: 400 €
