Yes. Product formulation–including developing peat-free prototypes–is our speciality and intention. We have done this previously and found that the proposed project structure is effective for determining product formulation feasibility.
Product formulation was not scoped in this initial proposal due to uncertainty about the stakeholders needs and constraints, information on what materials need to be valorised or are available and at what quality and volume, and the intended market and product positioning (e.g. professional or amateur, application to soil or greenhouse growing, etc). All these considerations are factors in whether product formulation is possible and, if so, what form the final product will take. We are happy to discuss the above in more detail with the challenge holder and other stakeholders.

Could you please clarify what the final deliverables of your proposal will be?

The final deliverable for this proposal will be a report on materials and processes suitable for valorising these materials into a value-added product. This will include analysis of raw materials assessed in the project and their potential use cases, volume and logistical feasibility of utilising the assessed raw materials, feasibility of valorising assessed raw materials at DEDISA’s facilities and recommendations for post-project activities.
Outputs for each work package are noted in the project Gantt chart supplied with the proposal.
We are happy to discuss the above with the challenge holder and, if needed, adapt the project scope and deliverables to suit their needs.
