REGENERA – A Regenerative Framework for Sustainable Events on Elba Island
Summary
REGENERA is a strategic and operational framework that redefines how events are planned, experienced, and evaluated on the Island of Elba, shifting from a static sustainability model to a living regenerative perspective. This proposal starts from the belief that events can become powerful catalysts for restoring ecosystems, strengthening communities, and deepening the relationship between people and place.
REGENERA offers:
- A strategic roadmap for rethinking events as living components of the island's ecological and cultural metabolism.
- A decision-making framework, based on co-created principles and context-sensitive indicators.
- A participatory design process, aligned with the island’s regenerative potential and local values.
With REGENERA, events evolve into opportunities for connection, learning, and stewardship—moving beyond carbon neutrality towards regeneration, vitality, and collective meaning.

About the solver
Green Living Projects is a Barcelona-based consultancy specialized in systemic sustainability and territorial regeneration. We work with local governments, communities, and EU-funded programs to co-design transformative frameworks and tools for cultural, ecological and economic transition.
We currently lead the TRANSEATION project, which is developing a regenerative evaluation system for coastal and marine infrastructure. This methodology could be adapted to guide event-based interventions in sensitive environments such as Elba.

Indicative budget/Phases
Phase 1 – Participatory co-design (3 months) Stakeholder workshops, definition of regenerative principles and local criteria 15,000 – 25,000
Phase 2 – Framework design & pilot implementation (4–5 months) Development and testing of the decision-making framework in 1–2 events (e.g. SEIF) 15,000 – 35,000
Phase 3 – Evaluation and scaling (2 months) Refinement of the framework, final guide creation, and transfer protocol 5,000 – 20,000
Total estimated range €35,000 – €80,000
Note: We are fully open to adapting the scope of work to the project's economic reality. As a mission-driven company, our priority is to contribute value, foster collaboration, and support systemic transformation. We would be honoured to be part of this collective journey.
